Formlabs Nylon 12 Tough Powder provides superior dimensional accuracy throughout the build chamber and high ductility. It also boasts the best refresh rate among nylon powders. This allows for the production of more durable parts, ideal for prototyping and small-batch manufacturing, with reduced warpage and uncompromised strength.

Nylon 12 Tough Powder is recommended for:

  • High performance, impact-resistant prototypes
  • Long parts that are susceptible to warping
  • Long parts printed along the Z-axis have reduced warping in Nylon 12 Tough as compared to standard Nylon 12.
  • Parts requiring ductility like snaps, ratchets, hinges
  • Prototyping, proof of concept, minimum viable products (MVPs)

NOTE: Nylon 12 Tough Powder requires aging and bed temperature tuning before first use. Skipping the aging process increases the risk of print failures and surface defects on printed parts.

Formlabs recommends printing with Nylon 12 Tough Powder in air at a 20% refresh rate.
