Sintering Getter (x20)

• The “sintering getter” is used to create a higher purity atmosphere by acting as a sacrificial material for impurities in the furnace. The Desktop Metal furnace requires the use of the sintering getter when processing materials such as alloy steels (ex. 4140), tool steels (ex. H13), and Copper. Its role is to ensure that these sintered steels contain an amount of carbon consistent with the respective material data sheet. It comes in the form of small tablets that users must place inside the furnace.
• Each package of sintering getter contains 20 tablets which are sufficient for 10 sintering cycles.
• Shipped separately by a special handler.
